The Lava Power Plant is a source of power for your base. Unlike the Solar Power Plants and the Iridium Power Plants, however, the lava power plant is severely limited to a selection of worlds as they require the presence of volcanic vents to generate energy. Without the presence of those vents, they cannot be built. As the vents are surrounded by lava, they are doomed to fall under attack from Lava Beetles and will need you to build weapons to protect them. To generate power you will need to man the power desk in the Bridge with a skilled colonist.
