Library

The Library allows colonists to study in either a new skill or to increase their proficiency in an existing skill. When a colonist obtains a new basic skill they'll be able to operate within a new job role, such as working the medi prep console on the Bridge with the basic Medical Preparation Badge. If they increase their proficiency in that skill, for a total of up to four stars, they'll be better at that job. The library itself is the slowest form of training but it is free. On the other hand there is the Training Pod which is much faster, however this can be very expensive. Some characters will learn faster than others and when training at the library a countdown will appear above their heads to indicate how long it will take for them to finish studying their skill. While training in the library the character will treat this as a work shift, meaning they won't go to work elsewhere during that time.
